Marshfield police say a man they arrested Tuesday was in his car when they approached him. They say the 51-year-old backed that car into a police squad car, then drove off. The man’s name hasn’t been released. A 9-1-1 caller had said that man was distraught when the call for help was made. Police chased the man for two blocks until he crashed his vehicle, then he was taken into custody. No injuries were reported. Charges of fleeing an officer, recklessly endangering safety, resisting an office, O-W-I and hit-and-run have been recommended to the Wood County prosecutor.
