Researchers from Northland College have placed more than two dozen additional trail cameras on Madeline Island. They will study the diversity of wildlife on the largest of Lake Superior’s Apostle Islands. The cameras are a part of a major research project started in fall 2016. Deer, coyotes and black bears have already been detected. The students are hoping the additional cameras will find evidence of red foxes and bobcats, among other wildlife.
