A Green Bay woman was found dead on Wednesday, and police say the frigid cold is to blame. The unnamed woman was found in the 1900 block of Eastman Street. The woman had taken a cab home, and fell on her way to her door. Police reports indicate that the fall resulted in her striking her head on the ground. That evening, temperatures fell below zero, accompanied by 20 mile per hour winds, which caused the woman to freeze to death. Police are using this tragedy to remind people, when dropping someone off at home, be sure to wait until the person has entered their home before you leave.
