Customers won’t be able to order a glass of wine to go with their burrito supreme or quesadillas at the Taco Bell in downtown Madison.  The city’s common council has voted to uphold Mayor Paul Soglin’s veto of a liquor license for the State Street business.  Soglin played a video of alcohol-related crime incidents shortly before the council voted Tuesday.  Madison’s Alcohol License Review Committee had recommended approval of Taco Bell Cantina plans to serve beer and wine to customers over 21.  Soglin has said he is opposed to the issuance of any additional liquor licenses to businesses in the downtown area.
