We Energies reports power has been restored to 19-thousand customers in Kenosha who were left in the dark and cold by an outage Wednesday. At least three warming centers had been opened for people left without electricity to run their heaters. The problem started with an equipment failure at American Transmission Company’s Kenosha substation. We Energies workers tried to by-pass or fix the circuit breaker causing the outage. When that failed, workers bridged as many customers as possible using other substations in the Kenosha area.
