The Salvation Army of Manitowoc County has completed their Christmas time donation campaigns, but fell well short of their goal. According to Lt. Jeff Olson, they fell around $91,000 short of their overall Christmas goal. Every knows about their Red Kettle Campaign, which they fell just short of their $120,000 goal, but they also run a direct mail campaign, which very fell short of their goal. The Salvation Army had a busy year in 2017, helping out with two major apartment fires, which pushed their resources “to the brink”. The Salvation Army is very thankful to those who have donated, and say if you are still feeling giving, you can still donate to the “fight for good” in your community by mailing or dropping off money to 411 North Sixth Street in Manitowoc, or online at samanitowoc.org.
