The Green Bay woman responsible for a drunk driving accident which resulted in the death of her friend was sentenced to 10 years’ probation on Friday. 21 year old Savannah Dumas was convicted of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle, and a count of Causing Injury. According to a police investigation, Dumas her friend 21 year old Megan Frehse and one other unnamed passenger had stopped for drinks at three bars on April 19th, 2017. Dumas got behind the wheel, and failed to negotiate a turn on County Highway J in Suamico. Dumas and the other passenger survived the crash, while Frehse died at the scene. Dumas’s preliminary blood-alcohol level was 0.123, over the legal limit of .08 for a driver 21 or older in Wisconsin.
