There were three high school basketball games of local interests last night. The Roncalli girls toppled Xavier of Appleton 58-51. The 8-6 Jets were paced by Abby Stelzer and Abby Zurcher with 23 and 19 point respectively, while the visiting Hawks fell to 2-10. Meanwhile in boys non-conference action, Kiel had little trouble with Ozaukee, winning 59-44. Jason Klauck poured in 20 points for the host Raiders, who picked up their second win of the season. Meanwhile Howards grove remains undefeated after edging St. Mary Springs 67-63. The Tigers are now ranked #2 in the state in Division 4.
In girls high school gymnastics, Manitowoc Lincoln bested Markesan, 130.575-100.2 in a dual meet at the JFK Fieldhouse. The ships received an outstanding performance from Brynn Tacket who won three individual events and the all-around with a score of 33.35. Lincoln teammate Megan Borchardt finished 1st on vault and was runner-up in three other events. Coach Jacque Bartow said her gymnasts have another meet at Kaukauna next Monday.
On tap for tonight in Boys Basketball, Manitowoc Lincoln will travel to Pulaski, Sheboygan North is hosting Green Bay Preble, Notre Damn is at Sheboygan South, Sheboygan Falls is at Kettle Moraine Lutheran, Manitowoc Lutheran is invading Reedsville, Mishicot is at St. Lawrence Seminary, and Two Rivers will take on Green Bay NEW Lutheran.
