A new proposal would increase funding for small Wisconsin school districts. Governor Scott Walker is backing the Sparsity Aid bill that would raise aid to rural school districts. Under the proposal, payments to small school districts would increase from 300-dollars per student to 400-dollars per student. Around 30 school districts would benefit from the proposal, including Thorp, Gilmanton, Eleva-Strum, and Augusta.
