Five High School basketball games were postponed last night, with concerns about travel conditions. The Sheboygan Falls at Roncalli and Mishicot at St. Mary Catholic boys games were postponed, With the former already being rescheduled for Monday, January 22nd. Three girls games were also postponed, those being Algoma at Bonduel, Chilton at Gibralter, and Luxemburg-Casco at Denmark.
Even with the weather, there were many games played. In boys EWC action, New Holstein toppled Two River 73-59, Valders beat Chilton 70-52, and Brillion edged Kiel in the closest area game of the evening 68-60. In the Big East, Hilbert beat Sheboygan County Christian, 63-44, Howards Grove stomped Cedar Grove-Belgium 66-21, Oostburg handled Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 68-47, and Sheboygan Lutheran toppled Ozaukee 85-60.
In the Lone girls game, Ashwaubenon beat Notre Dame in a low scoring FRCC matchup, 43-37.
On tap for tonight, there are two boys games. Random Lake will be at Manitowoc Lutheran, and Manitowoc Lincoln will host Green Bay Southwest, in a game that can be heard on 1240 AM WOMT, and at womtradio.com. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
In Girls action this evening, Manitowoc Lincoln will travel to Green Bay Southwest, Cedar Grove-Belgium will invade Kohler, Hilbert is at Oostburg, Howards Grove visits Ozaukee, Plymouth hosts Kewauskum, Kiel travels to Brillion, Manitowoc Lutheran invades Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Mishicot is at Sheboygan Lutheran, Reedsville welcomes Random Lake, Sheboygan Christian is at home against St. Mary Catholic, Two Rivers is at Sheboygan Falls, Valders enter Chilton, and Roncalli is in New Holstein, for a game that can be heard on AM980 WCUB. Tip off for that game is 7:15 PM.
