Stevens Point Police are blaming a domestic dispute for a stabbing at a motel Monday. Officers were called to the La Quinta Inn to deal with a fight between a man and a woman. The 24-year-old man was gone by the time officers arrived, but the 32-year-old woman was still there. The man was taken into custody a short distance away. Investigators say they found that a knife was used during the fight. Emergency medical technicians treated both the man and woman for injuries not thought to be life-threatening. Their names haven’t been released and no formal charges have been announced. It wasn’t reported which participant in the fight was stabbed.
