The University of Wisconsin-Madison has opened a new career center on the third floor of its University Book Store. Called SuccessWorks, the center offers advisors, networking opportunities and interviews for internships or entry-level jobs. Although the ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Wednesday, the center has actually been open to students for the last eight weeks. U-W says it hosts three times as many on-campus interviews during that period as it had in the entire previous academy year. Advising for students in the College of Letters and Sciences is up 18 percent.
