University of Wisconsin System leaders have approved a tuition rate increase for nonresident and graduate students at three schools. The U-W Board of Regents voted Friday to raise rates at U-W-Eau Claire, U-W-Stout and the U-W-Milwaukee’s business school this fall. Nonresident undergraduate tuition at U-W-Eau Claire will increase 539 dollars. Nonresident undergraduate tuition for the materials science and engineering program will increase 391 dollars. Nonresident graduate tuition will increase 430 dollars. Nonresident graduate tuition at U-W-Stout would increase 296 dollars. Nonresident graduate tuition at U-W-Milwaukee’s Lubar School of Business will increase 539 dollars. The 2017-19 state budget extended a four-year freeze on resident undergraduate tuition for another biennium.
