There was a winter festival in downtown Manitowoc on Saturday. Many interested onlookers checked-out numerous ice carvings, from 300-pound blocks of ice, in front of local businesses.
Garrett Wendland of Sturgeon Bay was sculpting one of those pieces in front of the restaurant Wrap-It-Up.

Ice On 8th also included an ice sculpture of a ‘diamond-ring’ in front of local jewelry store, Modern By Megean.  Patrick Burke, a wood, stone & bronze sculptor by trade..and his girlfriend, Samantha Deeley, talked with Seehafer News.

Along with the ice sculptures downtown, the festival also included hockey, figure skating and broom-ball exhibitions on the ice-rink, across from the library as well as live music by Charlie Bucket Band
