A woman running for Milwaukee County Supervisor is apologizing for her language in a Facebook post about police in 2014. Sparkle Ashley cursed officers then, saying her hatred grows for the Milwaukee Police Department every day she is alive. She encouraged police officers to kill themselves by jumping off the highest building in downtown Milwaukee. Ashley has taken down the post and has changed her story about the reason she wrote it. She apologized only for the language and said “very little has changed for black people in Milwaukee.” Her opponent, incumbent Supervisor Deanna Alexander, says the Ashley comments are “not healthy.”
