Federal prosecutors say an Oshkosh man gets 20 years behind bars for dealing drugs to a woman who died of a drug overdose. Prosecutors say 41-year-old Anthony R. Chaplin sold meth and the potent opioid fentanyl to Joy Strader of Appleton. Strader died of an overdose in May 2017. Federal prosecutors say Chaplin admitted to dealing what he believed to be heroin to Strader on multiple occasions. He said he didn’t know that the heroin contained fentanyl. Investigators say he sold Strader meth at the same time. The medical examiner says the combination of the fentanyl and the meth caused Strader’s death, according to the medical examiner’s findings.
