The Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office has yet to release the names of a pair of Two Rivers residents who died Sunday from the flu. Coroner Curtis Green says they are a 56-year-old man and 48-year-old woman who lived in the same residence. Manitowoc County Health Officer Amy Wergin says generally 10 to 20 people annually are hosptialized for influenza countywide.

But if you have any of the aforementioned symptoms Wergin says it’s “imperative you get to the hosptial as the flu can be deadly.”

The local health professional adds, if you are sick to stay home—practice good hygiene—get plenty of rest—keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of water and eat a healthy diet consisting of fruits and green leafy vegetables.
