There are six separate Manitowoc City meetings scheduled for tonight. The Wastewater Treatment Facility Board will be gathering at 4:00 PM, at the Wastewater Treatment Facility, to discuss several items, including Sludge Reports from 2017. At 4:30 PM, the Municipal Tree Commission will meet at the Department of Public Works, with an update on the forestry field, and other new and old business on the docket. Also at 4:30 the Manitowoc Public Library will host the Library Personnel Committee. They will discuss a possible Policy Manual merger, and the creation of a Backfill Literacy Coordinator position. In the final 4:30 gathering, the Police and Fire Commission will assemble at the Public Safety Building. They will go over the January reports from both the Fire and Police Departments, and discuss the Police Department Patrol Officer Eligibility List. The Room Tax Commission will convene in the Council Chambers at 6:00 PM to discuss many items, including possible action on the 2018 budget, followed by the Committee of the Whole. Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels will be on hand to discuss the Blight Program. As always, the public is welcome to attend.
