The murder trial for a former Stevens Point man is scheduled to start in April of next year after a federal judge granted both sides a delay. Brendt Christensen is accused of torturing a University of Illinois student from China, before killing her. Federal prosecutors say they are seeking the death penalty. The trial had been scheduled to start later this month, but both sides had asked for the delay. Christensen has pleaded not guilty to kidnapping resulting in death. The body of 26-year-old Yingying Zhang has never been recovered.
