Members of the Wisconsin Assembly are scheduled to vote today on a bill which would waive tuition and fees for foster children wanting to attend college. Wisconsin would become the 29th state with some form of post-secondary tuition help on the books for foster children. The legislation is said to have bipartisan support. It would eliminate tuition and fees at University of Wisconsin System schools and state technical colleges for state residents who meet the criteria. As many as 46-hundred people could qualify for the program.
