Parents and students in the Crandon School District are demanding answers about the departure of a well-liked principal. After 20 years with the district, Andy Space resigned January 26th. Questions are being asked, but no answers have been forthcoming. The school board voted to accept a resignation agreement with Space earlier this week. The principal had been told his contract wouldn’t be renewed last month. Two-and-a-half weeks later he left. The school board meeting where the situation was discussed drew a crowd of almost 200 people. School officials say they can’t legally share details about a personnel decision. There has been no indication of any wrongdoing by the veteran educator.
