Mayor Confirms Plan for Former MC Sports Location

As a part of a nationwide cutback, MC Sports in Manitowoc closed their doors late last year, and the location has sat empty since. That is until workers were seen inside the building earlier this week. This lead to the question of what was moving in? After much speculation on social media, Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels confirmed today that TJ Maxx will be moving into the vacant storefront. TJ Maxx sells a variety of shoes, clothes and other clothing and accessories. With the Kohls Department Store right next door, TJ Maxx will have a challenge right out the gate trying to lure customers in. Mayor Nickels stated “This is a perfect fit for that area of town, and I’m glad to see the building being filled so quickly.”
