It’s everyone’s favorite time of year, Girl Scout Cookie season! Girl Scouts all over the nation are out trying to sell their cookies to raise money for their troop. Manitowoc based Troop 8544 came up with an idea to help everyone get their cookie fix. Janet Pitroski, a part of the leadership team for the Troop, penned a letter to Common Council Chair Lee Kummer, asking permission to sell cookies out of marked vehicles on city property. The letter outlined where they wanted to set up, the dates they wished to sell, and addressed safety concerns. The proposal will be brought up at the Common Council meeting tonight, which will be in the Council Chambers in City Hall at 6:30 PM.
