Students from Manitowoc schools will soon see their artwork decorating the walls of the Rahr West Art Museum. Roughly 1,000 pieces of artwork, ranging from paintings to pottery that were created by students from elementary, Junior high, and senior high schools will be shown from Sunday until Mach 21st. From that group, a select number of Outstanding Artists will be chosen, and will receive a special certificate celebrating their accomplishments. Greg Vadney, executive director at the Rahr-West, is very happy to show the works, saying “There is virtually nothing that better exemplifies our art museum than celebrating the work of our creative young people within the same walls that feature Picasso, Warhol, Georgia O’Keeffe and many of the world’s other greatest artists.”
