The Silver Lake Lady Lakers Women’s Basketball team lost to top seed Paul Quinn college of Dallas, Texas by the score of 85 to 62 in a division one national semifinal at the USCAA Tournament in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Head Coach Mike Flentje on the loss.
SLC led 21 to 18 after one and trailed by just two points—33 to 31 at halftime. However, a big third quarter by the Tigers where they outscored the Lakers 28 to 14 proved to be, says Coach Flentje, the difference in the game.
Seniors Danelle Buck and Danielle Byrum paced SLC with 15 and 12 points respectively as SLC’s 14 game winning streak is snapped and they finish 22 and 8 in what Coach Flentje calls “a season to remember forever.”
Paul Quinn improves to 23 and 9 and they advance to tomorrow’s National Championship game against either Rochester College or Florida College
