The Manitowoc County Historical Society presented their Historic Preservation and Volunteer Awards at the organization’s 112th Annual Meeting and Banquet on Thursday, March 1 at Knox’s Silver Valley Banquet Hall, Manitowoc. The evening featured a business meeting, the election of new Directors and the presentation of the Society’s Historic Preservation and Volunteer Awards. The 2017 Hugo and Eleanor Vetting Restoration Award was presented to Sepia Chapel Two Rivers. The 2017 Dillon Mueller Youth Service Award was presented to Emily Shedal for her dedication to MCHS as a volunteer intern, and the Lisa Rohrer Square Nail award was given to Emmy Rebitz. Also, 11 volunteers were recognized for logged over 100 hours of community service over the past year. Congrats to all award recipients.
