A West Allis man says shooting two of his neighbor’s dogs was a last resort, but he was afraid they would kill his one-year-old puppy. Mike Fay says the dogs lived in the same neighborhood, but they had never given him any problems. Police were told the two pit bulls attacked the smaller dog named Pepper Saturday. Fay is a concealed carry permit holder and he ran back into his house when he wasn’t able to stop the attack. Pepper needed stitches in almost a dozen places. The neighbor says he has no hard feelings against Fay, calling it “a very unfortunate incident.”
