Beloit Police say nobody was hit when a gun accidentally discharged during the arrest of a suspected child molester Tuesday.  Forty-two-year-old Raynoldo Mendez was taken into custody on a federal probation warrant issued in Illinois.  He also had a felony warrant in his name for the second-degree sexual assault of a child.  Mendez was arrested at about 11:00 A-M at a Beloit home after police had received a tip through the Greater Beloit Area Crime Stoppers.  The gun which fired inadvertently was carried by a member of the U-S Marshals Task Force.  Nobody was injured during the arrest.
