Madison’s U-W Hospital confirms that the suspended nurse suspected of injuring infants at Meriter Hospital worked there 15 years ago. The nurse’s name hasn’t been released. The investigation by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid found five infants suffered injuries while they were in the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit during a 10-month period ending in February. One of the victims suffered a skull fracture. The federal report reveals the nurse suspended last month handled each of the five babies found with unexplained injuries in the NICU (NIK you).
