A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a woman in Manitowoc on Tuesday. A Manitowoc Police Officer pulled the vehicle over on Franklin Street near 8th Street, after observing erratic driving. The driver was cited for the infractions, and the officer asked the passenger for identification. The female did not have any, and gave the officer a false name. The officer then noticed a bag filled with clothing that still had tags on, and asked to see a receipt. When she could not produce one, the officer told the woman he believed she was lying. She then admitted she knew the merchandise was stolen. The woman was arrested and charged with possession or Receiving Stolen Property, Unauthorized use of Identifying Materials, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Bail Jumping.
