Two Rivers City Manager Greg Buckley has announced the hiring of Kevin Boehm
(Baem) as their new Parks and Recreation Director. Boehm who served in a similar Capacity in Enid (ee’-nid) Oklahoma since 2015 takes over effective April 30th for Judy Goodchild who retired effective yesterday (Monday) after 23 years of service In the department—the last ten as Director. A news release states that Boehm is A Kenosha native with over 20 years of experience in the field working in Waukegan (wah-key’-gun) Illinois and Madison before moving to Oklahoma. 29 applied for the position which was narrowed to five semi-finalists then two finalists who returned to Two Rivers for one more interview with (City Manager) Mr. Buckley and Department Heads March 24th. Buckley stated in the news release “The Two Rivers Parks and Rec Department is a huge contributor to the quality of life in our city. We have high expectations and are confident that Kevin’s passion—knowledge and experience will serve him—the Department and the community well.” Boehm states “I’m honored to have been selected to fill the (Park and Rec) position within the city. I have some very big shoes to fill stepping in to Judy’s (Goodchild’s) shoes however I’m excited for the challenge. I can’t wait to become a member of the community and get started serving the community of Two Rivers.”
