The Milwaukee Brewers were one-out away from their second defeat of the season when Christian Yelich and Ryan Braun belted back-to-back homers for 5-4 win. St. Louis had started the game with back-to-back homers from Dexter Fowler and Tommy Pham. Chase Anderson became the latest Brewer pitcher to fail to last five innings, but the bullpen was nearly untouchable, giving up only two hits and a walk in five innings. The Cardinals had led all of the game until the two Milwaukee power hitters did their damage. Lefty Dan Jennings earned the victory with a scoreless inning in relief. No major league game has ever started and ended with consecutive home runs. Cardinals ace Carlos Martinez pitches today against Brewers newcomer Jhoulys Chacin at 6:40 P-M.
