Sargento Foods announced that they will be expanding their Kiel facility, adding 41,500 square feet of production space, and remodeling 7,000 square feet of their current space. Kiel City Administrator Jamie Aulik, congratulated the cheese producer.
Aulik told us that Sargento is doing very well, which is indicated by the fact that they just finished an expansion two years ago. Not only are they a big employer in the area, they also contribute a lot to the community around them.
Aulik also told us about another expansion that is coming down the pipeline.
The next step in the approval process for Sargento lies with the Kiel City Council, who will, according to the City Administrator, approve the expansion, from a building perspective, on April 10th. The expansion is expected to be completed by C.D. Smith Construction out of Fond Du Lac, who has been hired as the general contractor for the project.
