The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources announced plans to conduct prescribed burning on properties in Calumet and Manitowoc County in the coming weeks if appropriate weather conditions exist. Prescribed burning is part of ongoing efforts to preserve and restore the landscape found within DNR properties throughout Wisconsin. Burning is planned at the several DNR managed properties, including the Brillion, Collins Marsh, and Killsnake State Wildlife Area, as well as the High Cliff State Park. The window for conducting prescribed burns is relatively small due to the special weather conditions required.pexels-photo-216620.jpeg
