Police in the Barron County town of Rice Lake say an escaped dog is safe after being rescued from a frozen, muddy pond. The dog from the Minnesota Great Dane Rescue got away from its foster family on County Highway O in Rice Lake. A police officer was able to track the dog through the swampy area to pull her from the mud where she had gotten trapped after falling through the ice. She has been reunited with her foster family.
