A charge of first-degree reckless homicide is being referred to the Manitowoc County District Attorney’s Office by Two Rivers Police against an 18-year-old Manitowoc woman arrested last December for the delivery of a controlled substance. Detective Lieutenant Melissa Wiesner of the Two Rivers Police Department says Kyla Hanstedt was taken into custody yesterday.
Two Rivers Police and Fire Department Personnel responded to an apartment December 15th for a report of a 19- year-old deceased male. Toxicology results from the Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office indicate that the victim’s cause of death was “mixed drug toxicity”. No word on when Hanstedt is to appear in court.
