Wilmer Flores hit a walk-off game-winning home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, giving the New York Mets a 3-2 win over Milwaukee. Players bundled up in high-tech athletic gear to deal with a windy game-time temperature of 42 degrees on Jackie Robinson Day. Matt Albers took the loss after shaking off his catcher, then delivering a sinker belt-high which Flores deposited over the fence in left-centerfield. Mets starter Noah Syndergaard struck out eight straight batters at one point — two short of the major league record. The Brewers held a 2-1 lead in the sixth after a pair of Met fielding mistakes. The Brewers get what could be a break in the schedule when the struggling Cincinnati Reds visit for a game tonight. Brent Suter will be the Milwaukee starter.
