The Milwaukee City Attorney’s Office will prosecute a state senator for an incident in a Wells Fargo bank earlier this month. Two police officers were in the bank when Democrat Senator Lena Taylor allegedly used a racial slur while arguing with a teller. Taylor’s attorney says she will plead not guilty in Milwaukee Municipal Court. The 195-dollar ticket was approved for prosecution Monday. An assistant city attorney says the office often talks to the other side about a settlement before a case like this one ever goes to trial.
