The former Elks Club Golf Course will transform into an assisted living home beginning on Saturday. Several local investors bought the property on Waldo Blvd, and have been working with the Angelus Village of Manitowoc to give the property a facelift. The project has been in the works since 2016, and will feature 52 units. The units will be either one bedroom, two bedroom, or studio apartments, with a 24 hour care staff and full assisted living amenities. The entire project is estimated to cost around $6 million, and create around 30 jobs. Cassandra Lipinski, CEO of Angelus said about the decision to add a location in Manitowoc, “…we didn’t come to Manitowoc because we didn’t think it was a great place to come. We knew it was.”
