Questions about financial dealings at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh have resulted in charges of misconduct in office being filed against two former campus leaders. Former Chancellor Richard Wells and Vice Chancellor Thomas Sonnleitner will make their initial appearances in Winnebago County Circuit Court in June. Each faces five charges for allegedly improperly managing university funds in five projects. Both men have denied any wrongdoing. The Wisconsin Attorney General’s Office is handling the criminal case.
