A Milwaukee County judge has sentenced two convicted killers to decades in prison for killing a 76-year-old Greendale man. Forty-two-year-old Calvin Fleener and 22-year-old James Johansen knocked on the door of the condo where Kenneth Latus lived last October. They asked to use his phone, but when he refused, the two forced their way inside. Fleener beat the elderly man and smothered him, then Johansen took his wallet with 160-dollars in it. Surveillance video on a bus showed the men laughing and congratulating each other after the crime. Fleener was sentenced to 45 years and Johansen 20. The younger man agreed to testify against Fleener. Latus had been diagnosed with cancer just a few days before he was murdered.
