Police say A 21-year-old Sauk County man was arrested Sunday night after several people were shot with paintballs in downtown Madison. Madison police say a 19-year-old reported to officers that he was talking to friends on the street when a car drove past and someone in the car fired a paintball gun and the paintball struck him in the head. A man’s back pack was struck in another paintball incident. A third man was reportedly hit in the leg. Police say two men were able to get the license number of the car, police used that to track down the vehicle at about 7 P-M Sunday. Police say five people were found in the car. They ranged in age from 16 to 21. The officers also found four paintball guns and ammunition in the vehicle. The group told officers they had just purchased the guns and were planning to use them at a designated paintball range, but 21-year-old Alex M. Ziobro of Prairie du Sac admitted to firing his gun at a couple of people. Ziobro was arrested on a tentative charge of second-degree reckless endangerment. He and three of the others who were in the car were cited for unlawful possession of paintball guns.
