A pair of Two Rivers High School graduates performed VERY well last week at the U.S. Open Wrestling Championships in Las Vegas. Coach Scott Pelot of X-Factor Elite in De Pere says 19-year old Paul Bianchi placed 3rd in the Junior Freestyle division, while Scott’s son, ‘Ty’ Pelot, was 4th in the Greco Roman style ‘Senior’ or Olympic level. The high finishes are believed to be a first, Locally, at that level of wrestling competition. Bianchi is a redshirt freshman at North Dakota State University, Pelot is 22 and is a student at UW-Green Bay. Pelot will head to the Senior World Trials in Tulsa, Oklahoma in June and Bianchi is set to compete in the Junior World Trials at Rochester, Minnesota in 2-weeks.
