Federal investigators say one supervisor at the Didion Milling tells them an air filter blew off a corn grinding device last May shortly before a deadly explosion. Five people died and 14 were injured. A spokesperson for the U-S Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board says it could be another six months before it issues any conclusions about the incident. Preliminary findings were released Monday. The supervisor told federal investigators that flames shot out of an intake line when the filter blew off just before the incident at the plant in Cambria, about 40 miles east of Wisconsin Dells.
