Bail was set at $500 cash for a 28-year-old Manitowoc man for causing a disturbance at his mother’s home for the second time in less than a week. Two days after being picked up by police for causing a disturbance at his mother’s house, Edwin Guzman-Galarza was once again arrested over the weekend. Police were called to his mother’s home in the 2000 block of Hamilton Street just after midnight Sunday morning. Guzman-Galarza was once again trying to gain access to his mother’s home. After speaking with his mother, police learned that Guzman-Galarza was at her home the previous day as well, but he was calm, and slept on her couch. Due to having a 72 hour no contact order, he was arrested and charged with two counts each of violating a 72 Hour Domestic Abuse Injunction, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, along with a single count of Obstructing an Officer. Guzman-Galarza remains in the County Jail and his initial appearance is scheduled for next Monday afternoon at 1:30.
