The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation held their 27th annual Wisconsin Main Street Awards Ceremony last Friday, and several local organizations and individuals were honored. David Baierl of Two Rivers and Jessica Haefke were both included in the list of 17 Volunteers of the year, while the Sepia Chapel in Two Rivers was awarded with the Best Interior Renovation Over $50,000.

Wisconsin Main Street was created back in 1987, and their community projects have resulted in the creation of more than 2,600 new businesses as well as more than 14,000 new jobs. They have also invested more than $1.7 billion in Main Street Communities.
