The Milwaukee Brewers are putting starting pitcher Zach Davies on the 10-day disabled list with an arm problem. The move is retroactive to Monday and the right-hander is expected to miss only one start. A corresponding player move will be announced today (Friday) by the team. Doctors hope some brief rest, a missed start and the rotator cuff inflammation he’s experiencing could dissipate. Davies has been effective with an earned run average of two-point-zero-zero for a three-start stretch. Overall, he has a 2-3 record with a four-point-24 E-R-A. The Thursday day off gave the team some flexibility, meaning a fifth starter won’t be needed for a few days.
