A 22 year old Two Rivers man has been found competent to stand trial for the death of his girlfriend’s 8 week old child in January. Manitowoc County Circuit Judge Mark Rohrer made the ruling yesterday in the case against Matthew Brown-Edwards who’s charged with first degree reckless homicide. Authorities were called to a residence for an injured child who was initially taken to a local hospital then transported to a children’s hospital in suburban Milwaukee where she died several days later. A preliminary hearing for Brown-Edwards is scheduled for June 6th.
