A Wisconsin company has signed one of the largest service contracts in its long history of working with the U-S Navy. The 17-point-three-million dollar deal will cover all Navy ships powered by Fairbanks-Morse engines. Headquartered in Beloit, the company says the new deal will mean additional jobs at its domestic service centers — though there is no estimate of the number of new jobs. The Military Sealift Command announced the new deal this week in Washington, D-C, with work to start next year and the engines to be delivered in 2020. Fairbanks-Morse has been working with the Navy and Coast Guard for more than seven decades.
