Manitowoc Lincoln High School has hired Barry Harris to lead its girls basketball program as Head Coach, today. Harris has been a longtime high school basketball coach in the greater Green Bay area, last being the head boys coach at Kewaunee High School in 2017, and was the head girls basketball coach at Green Bay Preble from 2005-2009. Coach Harris has also coached at Pulaski High School, UW Fox Valley, and within the GB Metro AAU Basketball Program. Harris replaces Dave Jirikowic, who resigned at the end of this past season.
“I am excited to be part of the Manitowoc Public School District Athletic Department family and the Manitowoc community, as well as to be entrusted to lead the girls basketball program,” says Harris. He also states, “It is a great pleasure to be given the opportunity to work with outstanding young ladies and to build the girls basketball program to a competitive level again in the tough Fox River Classic Conference.”
The girls high school basketball season in Wisconsin starts on November 5, with the first day of practice. The Ships first game is on November 20 at Kaukauna High School.
